유자나무(운향과 귤속)

비피나무와 노란 유자 열매를 보고 차를 세웠다.

유자 열매는 겨울철 따뜻하고 향기 좋은 유자차로 가공되어 추위를 녹여준다.

그래서 남쪽 도서 지역에서는 유자를 꽤 재배하고 있다.

억센 가시가 사나워 보이지만 엽병의 넓은 날개가 작은 잎처럼 보여서 귀여운 녀석이다.

 

아직 달려 있는 열매를 찾아서 유자 밭을 헤메고 다녔더니 주인 아주머니가 슬그머니 다가 온다

낯선 사람이 밭을 쏘다니는 게 궁겁기도 하고 이상하기도 했던 모양이다.

 

위쪽에서 여행을 온 사람들이라 유자나뮤 잎과 열매를 촬영하고 있다고 했더니

남아 있는 열매는 상품성이 없어서 남겨 둔 것이니 따 가져도 된다고 일러준다.
