가죽나무(소태나무과 가죽나무속) 열매 Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle

가죽나무와 참죽나무는 이름이 비슷하고 깃꼴잎과 수형도 비슷하여 혼돈을 하는 경우가 많다.

두 녀석은 소태나무과와 멀구슬나무과로 소속이 다르며

참죽나무는 순을 나물로 먹을 수 있어서 주로 집 주변에 한 두그루 심어 놓는 경우가 있는데 비하여

가죽나무는 냄새가 역하고 맛이 없어서 나물로 먹을 수 없으며 아무데서나 많이 퍼져서 자생하는 녀석이다

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

참죽나무는 수피 껍질이 얕게 갈라지지만 가죽나무는 수피가 매끈하다
