붉나무(옻나무과) 열매

마악 달린 붉나무 어린 열매가 색이 무척 곱다.

성숙해 가면서 열매 표면에 소금기 결정체가 덮히게 되는데 짠맛과 신맛이 함께 난다고 한다.

그 가루 맛을 본적이 있는데 신맛보다는 짠맛이 무척 강하였다.

옛날 산골에는 소금이 귀하여 붉나무 열매의 소금 가루를 식용으로 대용하였다고 한다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

붉나무 잎에는 오배자라는 벌레집이 달리는데 오배자는 한약재로 귀하게 대접을 받는다고 한다
