배나무(장미과 배나무속) Pyrus pyrifolia var. culta (Makino) Nakai

2013. 4. 하순. 대구.

 

계곡을 따라 가산산성으로 오르다가 쥔장의 발걸음이 끊어진지 오랜 배나무 과수원을 통과하게 되었다.

수령이 꽤 오래 된 배나무에 칡덩굴이 엉겨 있는 황량한 폐원의 모습이 을씨년스럽다.

 

과수원 농사가 수지가 맞지 않아서일까?

아니면 자식들은 도시로만 진출해 버리고 

연로하신 어르신이 이제는 농사를 지을 기력이 없어서 그냥 손 놓아 버린 것일까?
