어쩐 일인지 올해 육지의 팥배나무는 흉년이다.
꽃도 못 봤는데 열매도 안 보인다. 작년에 그렇게 열매가 다글다글 하였는데...
해걸이를 하는지 아니면 꽃샘 추위로 4월에도 눈이 내려서 꽃눈이 다 얼어 죽었는지는 모르겠다.
한라산 숲에서 빨간 팥배나무 열매를 만났다.
첨에는 무슨 열매이지? 산개벚지도 아니고? 하면서 담았는데 확대해 보니 팥배나무이다.
잎을 살피니 팥배가 맞긴 한데 복거치가 강하지 않고 여리다.
탐라교육원 부근 숲 그늘에 서식하는 팥배나무 열매다
이과는 타원형이며 반점이 뚜렷하고 지름 1cm로서 9~10월에 황적색으로 익는다
소지에 피목이 뚜렷하고 수피는 회갈색이다. 동아는 홍색으로 광택이 있다.
잎은 호생하고 난형 또는 타원상 난형이며 넓은 점첨두이고 원저이며 길이 5-10㎝, 폭 3.5-7.0㎝로서
표면과 뒷면 맥 위에 털이 있으나 점차 없어진다. 8-10쌍의 측맥이 뚜렷하며 가장자리까지 비스듬히 평행하게 뻗혀 있다.
가장자리에 불규칙한 복거치가 있고, 표면은 녹색, 뒷면은 연한 녹색을 띤다.
엽병은 약간 붉은 빛이 돌며 길이 1-2㎝로서 털이 있으나 점차 없어진다.
이 녀석은 1100 습지에 서식하는 팥배나무 열매다
