산돌배나무(장미과 배나무속) Pyrus ussuriensis Maxim.

자주 들르는 계곡으로 들어가는 초입에 수령이 오랜 돌배나무 한 그루가 오가는 길손들을 지키고 있다.

늘 그냥 지나치기만 했는데 봄날 이렇게 순백으로 꽃을 피운 녀서에게 눈길 스쳐가기에는 너무 미안하여 잠시 차를 세웠다.

 

돌배 열매는 길이 2~3cm 크기로 

비슷한 산돌배나무는 열매 끝에 꽃받침조각이 남아 있는데 돌배 열매는 꽃받침조각이 떨어지고 없는 점이 다르다.
