산돌배나무(장미과 배나무속) Pyrus ussuriensis Maxim.

사찰 경내에 수령이 엄청난 산돌배나무가 서 있다.

철기둥으로 가지를 받쳐서 보호까지 하고 있는 걸 보니 아마도 관리가 잘 되는 것 같다.

 

꽃받침이 탈락하는 돌배나무에 비하여 산돌배나무는 열매에 꽃받침이 남아 있다.

돌배나무는 중국 중남부 지역이 원산지로 국내에 자생하는 건 아직 확인이 안되었다고 한다.
