까치고들빼기(국화과 고들빼기속)

길게 깃꼴로 갈라진 잎이 특이한 녀석이다. 거의 흡사한 녀석으로 지리산에서 자생한다는 지리고들빼기가 있다.

잎은 호생하며 엽병이 있고 우상으로 완전히 갈라지며 열편은 서로 떨어져 있고 3-6쌍이며 길이 1-2cm로서 난형이고 결각이 약간 있거나 톱니가 드문드문 있으며 엽병은 중축과 더불어 날개가 없고 밑부분이 이저로 되어 원줄기를 둘러싸며 윗부분의 잎은 점차 작아진다 꽃은 9-10월에 피고 지름 10mm정도로서 가지끝과 원줄기 끝에 산방상으로 달리며 총포는 좁은 통형이고 길이5.5-7.5mm, 나비 1.5-2mm이며 외포편은 길이 0.5-1mm로서 난형이고 외포편은 5개이며 긴 타원상 선형이다. 소화는 5개로서 황색이고 화관은 길이 6-7.5mm,나비 2-2.5mm이며 통부는 길이 1.8mm정도로서털이 없다. 높이 20-50cm이고 밑에서부터 가지가 갈라진다. 수과는 방추형이고 길이 3.5-4mm로서 10개의 능선이 있으며 관모는 길이 4.5mm정도이고 백색이다

근생엽은 개화시기에 없어진다. 중앙부의 잎은 긴 타원형이고 길이 4.5-6.5㎝, 나비 2.5-3㎝로서 밑부분이 원줄기를 감싸며 우상으로 갈라지고 열편은 3-4쌍이며 난상 긴 타원형이고 서로 인접하여 밑부분이 좁아지며 털이 없고 굵은 톱니가 있으며 엽축에 날개가 있다.  두화는 줄기끝에 다수가 달리고 꽃이 지면 처지며 화경은 길이 3-12mm이고 포는 1-2개로서 난형이다. 총포는 길이 7.5-8mm, 중앙부의 지름 2.5mm이며 외포편은 난형 둔두이고 안쪽에 5개의 총상 포편이 있으며 소화(小花)는 5-6개씩이고 황색이며 통부는 길이 2.3mm로서 잔털이 있다 높이가 40cm에 달하고 가지가 많으며 털이 없고 회청색(灰靑色)이다 수과는 납작한 방추형이고 길이 3.5-4mm로서 능선이 11개이며 끝이 부리처럼 길게 뾰족해지고 관모는 백색이다
