명천쑥은 2017년에 황송포에서 만났던 게 가장 흡사한 모습이다. 그 때 처음 이 녀석을 보고 어찌나 반갑던지.
이 곳에서 만난 녀석도 줄기 아래쪽 잎은 줄기로 흐르는 엽신이 명천쑥으로 보이는데
줄기 위쪽의 잎 변이가 좀 있어서 애매하긴 하다.
중국식물지나 식물기관에 검색을 해 봐도 자료가 안 뜨고 포본관에는 러시아 자료만 있다.
이 녀석의 분포도 극동러시아라고 하니 백두산 연변에서 만난 이 녀석이 과연 명천쑥일지 의문이다.
중국디지털식물 표본관에 올려진 러시아산 Artemisia saitoana 표본이다.
위, 아래 잎의 형태 변화가 거의 없다. 화서의 잎은 결각이 줄어들면서 나중에는 작은 난형으로 변하고 있다.

이번 중국 현지에서 만난 명천쑥으로 추정되는 녀석이다
어린 개체의 모습은 아래 위의 엽형이 같다.
꽃이 핀 큰 개체의 잎은 위쪽으로 갈수록 엽폭이 좁아져서 좁은도란형에 깊은 결각이 지면서 형태가 많이 달라지고 있다.
