애기비쑥(국화과 쑥속)

해안 갯가에 자생하는 대표적인 쑥속 분류군으로 큰비쑥과 애기비쑥이 있다.

여태 만나 본 녀석을 큰비쑥이라 생각하고 애기비쑥을 만나 보고 싶어 했는데

염전 주변을 얼정거리다가 두상화 크기가 작은 녀석이 보이길래 애기비쑥이 분명하여 쾌재를 불렀다.

 

논문에 의하면 큰비쑥은 제주도와 서해안에, 애기비쑥은 서해안 일부 지역에 큰비쑥과 혼생한다고 한다

큰비쑥이 애기비쑥에 비하여 소화 수가 더 많아서 두상화가 더 커 보이는데

이 곳에서는 두상화가 작은 녀석과 약간 더 커보이는 녀석이 함께 있어서 옳다꾸나 하고 열심히 담아 왔다.

 

큰비쑥 : 자화는 10개 이상, 양성화는 20-30개(소화수 19-30개) 총포길이 4.2-5.5mm 너비 3.8-4.5mm

애기비쑥 :  자화가 5-7개, 가운데 양성화 소화 수가 8-15개,     총포길이 2.5-4.1mm 너비 2.0-2.5mm

 

이 녀석이 애기비쑥이다. 

 

 

애기비쑥은 두상화 가장자리 자화가 5-7개, 가운데 양성화 소화 수가 8-15개라 한다

 

 

가장자리 길게 나온 암술이 보인다.

 

 

애기비쑥의 총포가 갸름해 보인다

큰비쑥 : 총포길이 4.2-5.5mm 너비 3.8-4.5mm

애기비쑥 : 총포길이 2.5-4.1mm 너비 2.0-2.5mm

 

 

원본을 살펴 보면 양성화가 대충 11-13개 정도이다.

가장자리에 자화의 암술이 드문드문 보인다.

 

 

 

옆에 두상화가 조금 큰 녀석이 있어서 큰비쑥이라 생각하고 비교해 보긴 했는데.....

큰비쑥의 자화는 10개 이상이고, 양성화는 20-30개라 한다.

 

 

헌데 이 녀석은 소화수가 많아 봐야 17개 정도가 될까?

큰비쑥이라 하기도 이상하여 꽃동무한테 살펴 봐 달라고 메세지를 넣었더니

역시 큰비쑥이 아니라 교잡종 중간형으로 봐야 한단다.

 

 

 

큰비쑥은 자화의 암술이 총포에 덮힐 정도라 밖으로 잘 드러나지 않는다고 한다.

 

화탁의 털도 중요한 구분점인데 큰비쑥은 화탁에 털(비선모는 없고 선모만 있어서 없는 듯 보이고 ,

애기비쑥은 화탁에 털이 선모와 비선모가 혼재하는 밀생형으로 시각적으로 긴털이 보인다.

 

헌데 이 작은 두상화의 작은 꽃을 다 비워내어야 화탁의 털을 확인할 수가 있으니.......확인하려면 눈이 빠져야 한다. ㅠㅠ.

 

 

해서 이 녀석은 큰비쑥이 아니라 중간 잡종으로 정리한다.
