큰비쑥(갯쑥)(국화과)

이 녀석  제주의 해안 물통이 바닥에 서식하고 있었다. 쑥 종류 같은데...이름을 확인하지 않고 있었다.

암튼 갯가에 있었으니 갯제비쑥인가 하여 기재문을 보니

울릉도에 서식하는 갯제비쑥은 뿌리잎, 줄기 아랫잎, 줄기에서 나온 가지에 달린 잎의 모양에 차이가 많다.

뿌리잎은 구절초잎과 같은 모양으로 갈래의 폭이 넓은 편이나, 줄기 끝으로 갈수록 가는잎구절초잎처럼 좁아진다고 하니 그도 아닌 것 같다.

 

큰비쑥이다!  이름을 제대로 찾은 것 같다. 

예전에 갯쑥이라고 이름 붙여 둔 게 있는데 그 녀석의 정명이 큰비쑥이었다. 흔히 갯쑥이라 불리는 모양이다.

 

다년초 식물로서, 30-80cm로 비교적 크며, 갯벌의 상부나 만조시에 바닷물이 들어오는 지역에서 무리지어 산다고 하니

이 녀석이 사는 곳도 바닷물이 들락날락거리는 물통이였다. 육지에서 보는 쑥과는 잎 모양이 많이 달랐다.

 

 

 

 

 

높이 30-90cm이고 백록색이 돌며 향기가 있고 원줄기는 곧추 자라며 자줏빛이 돌고

처음에는 잎과 더불어 거미줄같은 털로 덮여 있으며 밑에서부터 가지가 많이 갈라진다.

 

 

 

근생엽은 꽃이 필 때 쓰러지고 방석처럼 퍼지며 길이 3-13cm의 엽병과 더불어 길이 14-21cm로서

2-3회 부채살처럼 갈라지고 열편은 선형 원주이며

나비 2mm정도이다.

 

밑부분의 잎은 중앙부의 잎과 더불어 꽃이 필 때는 자라지 않고 엽병이 길며 길이 9-12cm로서

우상으로 갈라지고 열편은 형태가 서로 비슷하며 잎은 3개로 갈라지거나 선형이고 길이 1-3cm이다.

 

 

 

꽃은 9월에 피며 두상화로서 길이 3~5mm, 폭 5~7mm이이고 줄기 상부에 원추화서를 이루어 밑을 향해 달리며 황갈색이다.
