태백개별꽃(석죽과 개별꽃속) Pseudostellaria longipedicellata S.Lee, K.I.Heo & S.C.Kim

이름은 태백을 달고 있지만 지역과 상관 없이 널리 분포하고 있다. 

학자에 따라 태백개별꽃을 큰개별꽃의 생태형이나, 지리산개별꽃의 변종으로 보는 견해도 있지만

국가표준식물목록에 별도의 종으로 인정하여 기록하고 있다.

 

태백개별꽃은 화경이 매우 길고 꽃받침과 화경에 털이 없는데

꽃이 지면서 화경이 더 길어져서 결실기가 되면 땅바닥에 고꾸라지듯이 열매를 쳐박는다.

 

큰개별꽃은 태백개별꽃 처럼 화경과 꽃받침에 털이 없는 점은 같지만

태백개별꽃보다 화경이 짧고 열매기에도 화경이 구부러지지 않는 점에서 구분이 된다.

 

태백개별꽃은 결실기 소화경의 길이와 줄기 기부까지 굽는 특징, 폐쇄 소화경의 길이가 길다는 점에서 지리산개별꽃과 유사하나 괴경이 가는 방추형이고, 소화경에 털이 없고, 꽃잎이 5–9장이라는 점에서 구별된다.

 

개별꽃속에는 종간 교잡이 이루어진 교잡종이 몇 종 있는데

 

비슬개별꽃 = 태백개별꽃+개별꽃,      보현개별꽃 = 태백개별꽃+덩굴개별꽃

설악개별꽃 = 덩굴개별꽃+큰개별꽃   정영개별꽃 =지리산개별꽃+큰개별꽃

 

 

꽃잎 끝이 뾰족하거나 약간 둔하기도 하다.

 

 

꽃자루가 잎 길이의 2~3배로 길다.

꽃이 지면 더 길어지고 기부가 꺾여서 줄기 아래로 길게 늘어진다.

꽃받침과 꽃자루에 털이 없다.
