보현개별꽃(석죽과 개별꽃속) Pseudostellaria × bohyeonsanensis M.Kim & H.Jo

이 녀석을 만나야 해서 다시 보현산에 올랐다.

지난 번 북사면에서 마악 꽃이 피는 개체를 찾긴 했지만 95%의 확신이라

지금 쯤 줄기가 어느 정도 자랐으리라 생각을 했기 때문이다.

 

태백개별꽃은 이미 다 스러져 버렸는데 아무리 찾아도 보현이 비슷한 게 안 보인다.

덩굴개별꽃이 나타나야 하는데 초입에는 꽃자루가 아래로 늘어진 태백만 가득하고 덩굴은 보이지도 않는다.

숲 안으로 들락거리면서 전진을 하는데 드뎌 덩굴개별꽃이 나타나기 시작한다.

 

이 곳의 덩굴개별꽃은 고도가 높아서 그런가? 아직 어려서 그런가?

줄기가 벌어지지 않고 줄기 끝에 정생하는 한 송이 꽃을 가지고 있다. 

청량산의 덩굴개별꽃은 이미 줄기가 발달하여 액생으로 만들어 버렸는데.......

 

꽃받침에 성근털과 꽃자루의 한 두 줄의 털, 꽃잎 5장 끝이 오목하거나 둥근 형태,

줄기가 거의 자색을 띠고 가지가 갈라지며 엽형은 태백개별꽃을 닮은 녀석을 찾아야 한다

 

덩굴개별꽃 무리들이 나타나는 빈도가 잦아지지만 맑은 녹색 줄기들이라 보현개별꽃의 느낌은 아니다

 

두 시간 가까이 뒤진 끝에 드뎌 보현이가 나타났다. 

줄기는 약간의 자색을 띠고 끝이 둥근 꽃잎이 5장, 꽃밭침에 성긴 털이 있고 꽃자루가 덩굴보다 길고 털이 1~2줄 있다.

 

자칫하면 꽃 모양만 보고 덩굴개별꽃을 보현개별꽃으로 오동정하기 쉽다.

덩굴개별꽃의 꽃받침에는 아주 풍성한 털이 있는데, 보현이는 성글게 털이 있다.

 

사이버 상에 보현개별꽃이라고 올려진 것을 보면 덩굴개별꽃을 올려 둔게 99% 이다.

 

 

꽃자루에 털이 줄로 나 있다

 

줄기 아래쪽 마디에는 작은 줄기가 생기고 있다.

이 줄기가 6월 쯤이면 엄청나게 길게 자라서 바닥을 기는 것이다.

덩굴개별꽃은 잎 끝이 둔하고 넓은데 비하여 보현 개별꽃은 잎끝이 상대적으로 좁고 길게 뾰족한 태백개별꽃의 잎 형태와 유사하다

 

태백개별꽃과 덩굴개별꽃의 교잡종인 녀석은 결실이 안된다

아래처럼 가는 방추형 뿌리가 굴비 엮듯이 생겨서 개체를 번식시킨다.

덩굴개별꽃의 뿌리는 통통하고 짧은 원뿔형 뿌리 한 개를 가지고 있어서 보현개별꽃과 구분이 쉽다.

 

아래는 4월 24일 북사면에서 찾은 보현이다. 

마악 개화 시작기라 아직 줄기가 발달하지 않았다.

 

5장의 꽃잎 끝이 둥글다.

 

꽃받침에 성글게 긴 털이 있다.

 

꽃자루가 짧고 꽃받침에 성긴 털이 보이고 화경에도 한 줄 털이 있다.

덩굴개별꽃은 꽃받침에 털이 밀생하고 꽃잎이 5장에 끝이 둥글다.

보현이의 얼굴은 덩굴을 닮았다
