담배풀(국화과 담배풀속) Carpesium abrotanoides L.

흔하게 보이지는 않는 녀석이다. 볕이 드는 반그늘 숲에서 자란다.

남부 지역으로 가면 산사 주변 진입로나 등산로 주변에서 무리를 만난 적이 몇 번 있지만

중부지역에서는 이 녀석을 찾기가 쉽지 않다.

 

한 곳은 꽃동무가 산을 탐사하다가 우연하게 찾아 내었고

한 곳은 예전의 기억을 찾아서 산사 숲을 뒤져서 내가 찾아내었다.

 

내가 찾은 곳은 몇 포기 되지 않았는데 그것도 너댓포기는 진딧물이 꼬여서 성장이 거의 되지 않았고

정상적으로 자라서 꽃을 피운 녀석이 겨우 세포기였다.

 

이 녀석들 꽃 피는 모습을 보면 밭은 기침소리를 내시며  엽연초를 비벼 넣은 곰방대에 화롯불에 불을 붙이시던 할아버지 모습이 흐릿한 기억으로 오버랩된다.

 

두상화 꽃은 잎 겨드랑이에 달라붙어서 꽃자루가 거의 없는 듯하고 두상화 지름이

6-8mm 로 작다. 총포(모인꽃싸개)는 둥근 단지형이고 포편(꽃싸개)는 3줄로 붙는다.

 

줄기 위쪽 잎은 긴타원형이다.

줄기 아래쪽 잎은 매우 넓은 타원형이며 엽저가 약간 아래로 흐른다.
