애기담배풀(국화과) Carpesium rosulatum Miq.

사람의 왕래가 거의 없는 한라산 중산간 삼나무 숲 바닥에서 제주에서 두번째로 애기담배풀을 만났다.

천일 담배풀은 웬만한 숲 통로 주변에는 볼 수가 있는데 애기 담배풀은가 본 적이 없는 깊은 숲에서야 이렇게 만나게 된다.

3년 전 유일하게 만났던 애기 녀석은 가지가 거의 갈라지지 않아서 분지를 하지 않는 줄로 알았는데

이 번에 이렇게 꽃 가지를 많이 가지고 있는 녀석을 만나게 됨으로써 그동안 내 잘못된 선입견을 확인해 주어 다행이었다

 

 

 

 

남쪽 깊은 숲에 서식하며 개화시까지 로제트 형의 근생엽이 남아 있는 녀석으로 천일담배풀과 애기담배풀이 있는데

애기담배풀은 두화 지름이 5mm 정도로 담배풀 중에서 가장 작고 천일은 8~10mm 정도의 두화를 가지고 있다

 

 

 

 

두 녀석 모두 주걱형의 잎을 가지고 있지만 가장자리가 밋밋한 천일에 비하여 애기담배풀은 아래처럼 얕은 결각성 거치를 가지고 있다.
