오래 전 중산간 숲 깊은 곳에서 두번 보고서 이번에 제대로 만났다.
헌데 이 녀석 로제트 잎을 좋아하는 벌레들이 있는지 잎이 성한 게 제대로 없다.
총포가 통형에다가 담배풀속 중에서 두화 지름이 제일 작고
로제트 잎은 개화 시 까지 남아 있는데 물결성 거치가 있는 점이 천일담배풀과 다른 특징이다.

3. 근생엽은 도피침형의 혓바닥모양이다. 화서는 반구형으로 폭이 0.8-1.5cm : 천일담배풀
3. 근생엽은 주걱모양 피침형. 화서는 납작한 반구형. 직경이 5mm : 애기담배풀
애기담배풀이 꽃이 더 작고 울릉도와 제주도에 자생, 천일담배풀은 남부지방에 자생 2. 근생엽이 남아 있지 않고 초세가 크다
3. 잎자루가 길고 날개가 없다 : 긴담배풀
3. 잎자루가 길고 날개가 있다 : 좀담배풀과 두메담배풀, 여우오줌
4. 입자루 쪽으로 급격히 좁아진다 : 좀담배풀
4. 천천히 좁아지면서 잎자루의 날개로 연결된다 : 두메담배풀
