천일담배풀(국화과) Carpesium glossophyllum Maxim.

아~!! 아깝다!

6월 중순 후둑거리는 비를 맞으면서 다니다가 만났던 천일담배풀이라 꼭 꽃이 필때 보려고 했는데..

이미 꽃대가 다 말라 버렸다. 그래도 근생엽은 아직 싱싱하게 남아 있다.

 

꽃대가 일찍 말라버린 이유가 태풍 때문은 아닌지 모르겠다.

주변 숲의 동백나무, 구실잣밤나무, 같은 상록수 잎이 다 떨어져 버려서 숲은 황량한 겨울 처럼 보였으니까.

근생엽에서 올라온 꽃줄기에는 잎이 1~2개 달리기도 한다.

꽃가지는 드물게 분지하는데 끝에 한 개씩 꽃을 피웠다. 꽃의 지름은 1cm를 넘지 않는다.

주걱모양의 털부숭이 근생엽은 꽃대가 말라도 그대로 싱싱하다

 

 

열매 하나를 부수어 보니 이렇게 씨앗이 있는데 열매자루 부분에 끈적거리는 액이 얼마나 많던지 잘 닦이지도 않았다.
