만주바람꽃(미나리아재비과 만주바람꽃속) Isopyrum manshuricum Kom.

이 녀석을 마지막으로 찾아 본 게 2014년이니 한참 만나지 못하였다.

올해는 만나봐야겠다 하고 벼르다가 꽃동무 3명과 약속하여 남쪽으로 내려 갔다.

 

이 녀석은 마악 개화를 할 즈음 잎과 줄기가 갈색을 띨 때가 가장 이쁘다.

며칠 지나버리면 녹색을 띠면서 키가 커지고 꽃받침도 길어져서 엉성해지기 때문이다.

 

바람꽃이란 이름을 가진 녀석들은 바람꽃속, 만주바람꽃속, 너도바람꽃속으로 나뉘어 진다.

만주바람꽃속 분류군에는 나도바람꽃이 더 있다.

 

높은산 계곡 주변 바위지대 자갈밭에 주로 자란다.

꽃받침잎은 꽃잎처럼 보이며, 5장, 길이 7mm쯤이다.  골돌 열매는 2개씩 달리고 부리가 있으며 둥근 모양이다.

땅속줄기는 옆으로 길게 뻗는데, 여기에 보리알 같은 덩이뿌리가 주렁주렁 달린다고 한다. 

뿌리를 확인해 보고 싶었지만 마악 돋아나는 아가들을 해코지 하고 싶지가 않아서 걱정말라고 다독거렸다.
