제주의 변산바람꽃(미나리아재비과)

볕이 잘 드는 오름 분화구 안은 기온이 높아서 봄꽃이 일찍 핀다.

제주의 서쪽에 있는 오름 분화구에 들렀더니 분화구 관목 사이에 변산바람꽃이 하얗게 깔려 있다.

이른 봄 오름 자락 숲 바닥이나 분화구에는 세복수초와 함께 변산바람꽃이 봄을 알려주는 화신의 역할을 하고 있다.

 

내륙에서 피는 변산바람꽃에 비하여 제주의 변산은 꽃대가 짧고 나지막하여 그림으로 만들기에 안성맞춤이다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

변산바람꽃은 5장의 난형 꽃받침과 보라색 꽃밥을 가진 수술과

연두색 깔대기 꽃잎과 가운데 5개의 자방으로 이루어 져 있다

 

미나리아재비과인 바람꽃 녀석들은 꽃받침잎이 꽃잎처럼 보인다.

바람꽃마다 꽃잎 모양이 특색이 있는데 변산바람꽃이 꽃잎은 5개의 녹색 깔대기 모양으로 생긴 것이다

꽃을 받치고 있는 녹색의 잎은 꽃받침잎이 아닌 포엽이다.

 

 

 

 

이른 봄에 피는 꽃들은 겨울을 난 곤충 알이 부화하기 전이라 꽃가루 수분 매개자가 참 애매한데

이 녀석은 개미들이 중매쟁이 역할을 하고 있다. 같은 장소에서 복수초애 앉아 있는 파리 종류가 관찰이 되었다
