차나무(차나무과 동백나무속) Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze

남도의 산사 숲 어디서나 흔하게 자라고 있던 차나무이다

전남 지역에는 차밭 풍경도 관광지로 개발하여 사람들을 불러 모으고 있는데

보성의 녹차밭은 이미 이름이 나 있는 관광지이다

 

가꾸어진 인공미 보다는 이렇게 숲에서 자연스레 어울려 자라는 차나무의 모습이 더 정이 간다.

차나무는 중국 원산으로 우리 나라에는 중국을 통하여 전래되었다는 주장이 정설로 인정되고 있다 한다.
