하천을 따라 마을 주변의 방풍림과 상록수에 참나무겨우살이가 많이 기생하고 있다.
이 녀석은 팽나무에까지 기생하고 있는 걸 보면 종을 가리지 않는 것 같다.
이미 꽃은 다 떨어졌고 작은 열매가 여물어 가고 있었다.
열매 끝에 길다랗게 달려 있는 암술과 마지막 남은 꽃 한송이다.

잎 뒷면은 붉은갈색의 털이 뒤덮여 있다.
