연미사. 연이 처녀의 고운 마음씨가 스며 있는 연미사
연미사 서쪽 옆에는 자연석을 조각하여 만든 보기에도 우람한 미륵불이 눈길을 끈다.
그 석불 앞 수령 오랜 굴참나무 가지에 겨우살이가 소복히 둥지를 틀고 있다. 너무 높이 달려 있어서 열매를 담기가 수월하지는 않다.
아래쪽 나지막한 가지에 엉성하게 자라고 있는 겨우살이 한 포기에서 흐리나마 노란 열매를 담을 수 있었다.
이 미륵불은 몸체와 머리가 분리되어 있다. 나중에 머리를 만들어 얹은 것이다.
연미사는 작고 초라하던 전각을 헐고 대웅전 불사를 다시 하였다.
