개산초(운향과 초피나무속) 열매 Zanthoxylum planispinum Siebold & Zucc.

산초나무속 4형제 중에서 개산초를 본적이 없는데 지난 봄에 개산초를 여기서 첨 봤다.

초여름에 찾을 시간이 없어서 꽃을 보지는 못하고 육박나무 꽃을 보러 오는 덕분에 개산초 열매를 담을 수 있었다.

잎	소엽13~21개, 잔톱니 10개	소엽이 3-7개, 잔톱니 엽병과 엽축에 넓은 날개	소엽9-15개, 파상의 톱니 3~5쌍 톱니의 기부와 엽면 및 정점에 선점, 향기가 있음 잎 중앙부에 연한 황록색 반문 있음	소엽7-13개,  파상의 톱니 윤채(潤彩)가 있고 향기가 강함. 밑은 좁고 끝은 날카로우며 가장자리에 투명한 선점, 엽축과 엽맥에 흔히 가시가 있음.
열매	녹갈색	적갈색	적갈색(붉은색)	붉은색

 

 

열매가 그리 풍성하지 않지만  초피나무 열매처럼 붉은색이 곱다.

 

 

엽축의 날개와 물경성 거치, 길고 뾰족한 잎, 마주나는 가시의 기부 등 개산초의 특징이 보인다.

 

 

엽축의 위 아래에도 날카로운 가시가 나 있다.

 

 

 

 

줄기의 날카로운 가시가 접근을 허용하지 않는다. 줄기으 가시는 기부가 두툼하게 비대하여졌다.
