토현삼(현삼과)

현삼속 종류 중에서 처음 대면한 녀석이다.

가장 큰 특징은 액생하는 화서가 많이 발달되었고 소화경에 선점이 있으나 줄기에는 털이 거의 없고

꽃받침 열편의 길이가 폭의 2배 정도로 길다는 거다.

헌데 기존에 큰개현삼으로 올려 두었던 녀석들도 확인해 보니 모두 토현삼이다.

 

이창복의 <대한식물도감검색표>이다.

 

1. 줄기에 날개가 있다  

  2. 잎자루에 날개가 있다.    

     3. 잎은 난상 장타원형으로 예두, 또는 둔두 삭과 지름4~6,mm----------설령개현삼           

     3. 잎은 넓은 난형으로 둔두이고 원저 또는 아심장저이고,삭과 지름 8mm -----------섬현삼   

  2. 잎자루에 날개가 없고 잎은넓은 난형, 예두 원저 아심장저-------------------------통영현삼

1. 줄기에 날개가 없다

  4. 원추화서는 좁아서 수상화서처럼 보인다. 꽃은 황색으로 밀착해 있다.---------------현삼

  4. 원추화서는 엉성하게 퍼지고 꽃은 흑자색이다

     5. 꽃은 정생하는 원추화서에 달린다.---------------------------------------------큰개현삼

     5. 꽃은 보통 액생하며 총상으로 나열한다.

최근 한경숙(전북대학교 생물과학부) 외 3인의 공동연구에 의해

총 5종으로 정리된 것을 (식물분류학회지 39권 4호(2009년 12월) pp 237~246 )

꽃동무가 논문상의 외형적 특질을 정리, 추가하여 현삼속 특징을 정리한 내용을 빌어 왔다.

  

1. 잎은 털이 없고 두꺼우며 윤기가 난다. (꽃은 흑자색) (잎자루에 날개가 있다)

    2. 줄기에 날개가 있다. .............................개현삼 (원뿔모양 총상화서)

    2. 줄기에 날개가 없다. .............................섬현삼 (원뿔모양 총상화서)

 

1. 잎은 털이 있고 얇으며 윤기가 나지 않는다.(잎자루에 날개가 없다)

    3. 꽃은 홍자색이다.

        4. 꽃받침 갈래조각은 길이가 폭과 비슷하며 끝은 둔하다.

            ....................................................큰개현삼 (원뿔모양 총상화서) (정단형 화서)

        4. 꽃받침 갈래조각은 길이가  폭보다 2배 이상 길며 끝은 뾰족하다

            ......................................................토현삼 (원뿔모양 총상화서) (엽액형 화서)

큰개현삼의 꽃받침은 열평늬 길이와 폭이 거의 같은데

 토현삼의 꽃받침 열편은 길기가 폭의 2배 이상으로 좁고 뾰족한 모양을 가지고 있다.
