솜아마존(협죽도과 백미꽃속)

이름도 참!

박주가리과인 이 녀석을 왜 솜아마존이라 부르게 되었는지 짐작이 안된다.

이 녀석 이름은 도데체 어디에서 연유하였을까? 아마존 강과 무슨 관련이 있는 겐가?

 

솜아마존은 연한 노란색 꽃이 피고 검은솜아마존은 자갈색 꽃이 핀단다.

꽃은 6-7월에 피고 지름 1cm정도로서 연한 황색이며 취산화서는 엽액에서 나오고

잎보다 대개 짧거나 같으며 소화경은 길이 3-7mm이다. 화관 안쪽에만 털이 있다.

꽃봉오리는 많이 맺고 있는데 꽃을 보지 못하여 아쉽다.

 

 

 

마주나는 잎은 잎자루가 없이 원줄기를 반 정도 감싸며 도란상 긴 타원형 또는 긴 타원형으로

가장자리는 밋밋하고 끝이 뾰족하였다. 잎 뒷면과 줄기 등 전초에 흰빛이 돌아서 청회색 분위기가 돌았다. 

 

 

 

높이 40-60cm이며 전체에 흰빛이 돌고 줄기는 곧게 서며 원주형이다.
