이 구석진 산골에 어쩐 일로?
종자 채종 대상 식물 탐사 차 처음 가는 이상한 길로 들어 섰는데 울산의 도로 사면 절개지를 붉게 물들이던 외래식물이 난데 없이 여기에 서 있었다.
몇 개채 되지 않지만 자리를 잘 잡은 녀석은 키가 나보다 더 크고 잎도 큼지막한게 아주 우렁우렁하다.
꽃이 크고 화려해서 조경용으로는 아주 딱 적당한데 외래종이라서 환영을 받지 못하는 것 같다.
러시아, 몽골, 중국 신장, 카자흐스탄, 북아프리카, 서남아시아, 유럽 등에 폭 넓게 분포한다
줄기에도 날개처럼 잎이 붙어 있다.
