자생의 자도나무(장미과 벚나무속) Prunus salicina Lindi.

으아~~~!!!

야생 자도나무가 옆에 있는데도 다른 녀석 보느라고 이 녀석이 옆에서 꽃잎 떨구고 있어도 눈치도 못 채고 있었다

옆을 살피던 꽃동무가 야생 자두다~! 라고 소리질러도 농담인 줄 알았더니 꽃동무 아니면 그냥 지나칠 뻔 했다.

몇 번 온 적 있는 곳이지만 바닥의 풀만 들여다 보느라고 녀석의 존재를 미처 몰랐더랬는데 이렇게 우연하게 녀석을 만나다니 완전 대박이다~!

 

너른 터가 가까이 있는 것으로 봐서는 예전에 밭을 일군 곳인 것 같은데 가장자리에 크고 작은 야생 자도나무가 여러 그루 자생하고 있었다.  2m 정도 되는 어린 유목은 큰 나무에 치여서 가지가 거의 고사한 모습도 보이지만 대부분 잎을 내고 꽃을 달고 있어서 정말 다행스러웠다. 그 먼 양구까지 가서 녀석을 봐야했는데  이 곳에서 만날 수 있어서 정만 반갑고 다행스러웠다. 하긴 거리가 비슷하긴 하다. 아쨌든 야생 자도나무가 여기 저기서 꽃을 피우고 있음에 위로가 된다.
