복사앵도나무(장미과 벚나무속)

몇년 만에 참으로 오랜만에 이 녀석 꽃을 본다.

개화 시기를 놓쳐서 보지 못하기도 했고,

식물 조사 다닌다고 바쁘다 보니 시간을 내기도 쉽지 않았던 때문이다.

 

석회암 지대 산지의 양지바른 곳에 나는 낙엽 활엽 떨기나무로 높이 2~3m 정도로 자란다. 

나무껍질은 회색이고 어린가지는 밤색으로 광택이 있으며 오래되면 얇게 벗겨진다. 

 

강원 면산, 자병산, 삼척, 정선, 경북 봉화 등에 분포하는 한반도 특산종이다. 

이 녀석은 복숭아나무나 벚나무와 비슷하지만 꽃잎이 1cm, 너비 5mm로 좁으며, 

씨방에 털이 없고, 암술대 기부에 털이 있는 점에서 구분하며, 외형상 자두나무와 비슷하다.
