큰개미자리(석죽과 개미자리속) Sagina maxima A.Gray

이 녀석들을 만나면 종자를 루뻬로 들여다 볼 수 밖에 없다.

여태 큰개미자리로 부르며 해안 가까운 곳에서 만나던 다소 잎이 넓은 형태의 녀석이

종자 확인 결과 낮은 원방현의 돌기를 가진 개미자리였다는.

 

개미자리 : 화경과 꽃받침에 선모, 줄기 상부에 짧은 선모, 종자에 원반형 희미한 돌기

큰개미자리 : 화경과 꽃받침에 선모, 종자는 원주형의 미세한 돌기가 빽빽함,

 

사실 이 녀석의 꽃잎 형태와 잎의 너비 등으로 여태 큰개미자리로 잘못 불려지던 개미자리라 생각을 했는데

종자의 돌기가 원주형이라 의외였다. 큰개미자리가 볕을 잘 받아서 좀 건강하게 자란 덕분일까?
