망개나무(갈매나무과 망개나무속)

올 봄에 안동에 아주 큰 산불이 났었다.

불이 면적이 지난 해의 강원도 양양고성 쪽 산불보다 더 넓다고 한다.

 

그 산불이 지난 곳이 바로 이 녀석이 살고 있던 곳이었는데.......

가끔 그 곳을 찾아다닌 터라 검은 산자락이 매우 가슴 아팠더랬다.

 

그래도 어느 정도 였는지, 이 녀석도 다 타버렸는지 확인해 보고 싶어서 불 탄 산자락으로 조심스레 들어 갔더니

용케도 산 아래쪽에 자리잡은 덕분에 화마를 피해 무사함을 확인하고 안도의 숨을 내쉬었더랬다.

 

봄 내도록 틈도 없이 매일 바쁘게 다니다가 이 녀석 꽃 시기가 늦었다 싶었더니

벌써 이렇게 자잘한 어린 열매를 달고 있었다.

 

이태 전에 담았던 꽃이다.

이 녀석은 이렇게 귀여운 꽃을 피운다.

 

절벽 위에 있던 어린 녀석도 제법 크게 자라서 열매를 달고 있다.
