매발톱나무(매자나무과) 열매

2009. 7. 19. 만항재.

매발톱나무 노란꽃 필 때 오지 못하여 꽃을 담지 못한거이 아쉽다.

잎은 새가지에서 호생하고 짧은 가지에서는 총생한 것처럼 보이며 타원형 또는 도란상 타원형이고

 길이 3-8cm, 폭 2-4cm로서 예리하고 불규칙한 톱니가 있으며 뒷면은 주름이 많고 연한 녹색이다.

열매는 길이 1cm 정도의 타원상 장과이고 9-10월에 붉게 익는다.

높이가 2m에 달하고 수피는 암회색이며 가지는 회색이고 털이 없다.

소지에 구(溝)가 있으며 2년지는 회황색 또는 회색이고 가시는 3개로 갈라지며 길이 1-2cm이다.
