섬매발톱나무(매자나무과) Berberis amurensis var. quelpaertensis Nakai.

제주도 한라산에 자생하는 고유종으로 매발톱나무에 비해 잎몸과 열매가 작고, 가시는 더욱 날카로우므로 구별된다.
