은사시나무(버드나무과 사시나무속) 암꽃 Populus × tomentiglandulosa T.B.Lee

ㅎㅎ...간절하게 갈망하면 이루어진다.

수꽃을 담은 후 출퇴근 길에 줄나라비 서 있는 은사시나무마다 쳐다 보면서

어찌하면 암꽃을 담을 기회가 있을까 했는데...........

 

수그루의 화서는 갈색을 띤 길다란 수꽃이 아래쪽 가지에 까지 줄줄이 달려 있는데

암그루는 대부분 수고가 높은데다가 가지 위쪽에 작은 화서를 달고 있어서 도저히 접근이 어렵다

 

퇴근하는 길 어느 산자락 한 곳에 은사시나무를 모두 베어 놓은 모습이 보이길래 옳다꾸나 하고 급하게 차를 세웠다.

버드나무과는 가지를 잘라 놓아도 꽃을 피우고 잎까지 돋아나는 걸 보았기에

베어 놓은 녀석들 중에서 암그루가 분명 있을 거란 생각이 들었기 때문이었다.

 

그렇지~!!

역시 내 생각이 맞았다.

10m 나 되는 암그루가 밑둥이 찍힌 채 쓰러져 있었다.

쓰러뜨려만 놓고 둥치를 자르지 않았기 때문에 짤막하고 붉은색의 암꽃이 주렁주렁 매달려 있는 모습이라니....

마악 암술이 터지고 있는 참이었는데 한 이틀 후면 암꽃 화서도 조금 길이가 길어질 것이라 다시 한 번 담아야겠다.
