바닷가라서 그런가 잎자루가 짧고 잎이 유난히 작다.
진도에서 봤던 녀석과 같은 녀석이다. 갈퀴꼭두서니와는 엽병과 잎 모양에서 차이가 난다.
마디가 짧고 가지가 많이 발생하여 덤불을 이룬다.
| 원줄기는 네모가 지고 능선에 밑을 향한 잔가시가 있어 다른 물체에 잘 붙는다. 잎은 원줄기에서 6~10개씩 돌려나기하며 가지에서는 4~6개씩 돌려나기하고 크며 심장형이고 질이 얇으며 뒷면의 맥이 뚜렷하다. 끝이 뾰족하고 밑부분이 약간 심장저이며 길이 2~4㎝, 너비 1~2㎝로서 뒷면 맥 위와 가장자리에 잔가시가 있다. 꽃은 6~7월에 피고 지름 3.5㎜로서 5개로 갈라지며 잎겨드랑이와 원줄기 끝의 원뿔 모양꽃차례에 달리고 수술은 5개이며 씨방에 털이 없다. 이삭이 빈약하며, 꽃은 흰색이다. 열매는 2개씩 달리며 둥글고 흑색으로 익는다 |
▶갈퀴꼭두서니 (R. cordifolia var. pratensis MAX.) : 잎이 가지에서 4-6개씩 돌려나기한다. 잎은 긴 타원상 달걀모양.
▶가지꼭두서니 (R. hexaphylla MAX.) : 잎이 가지에서 4개씩 돌려나기한다.
갈퀴꼭두서니의 잎은 원줄기에서는 6-10개씩 윤생하지만 그 중 절반은 탁엽이며 가지에서는 4-6개씩 윤생하고
긴 타원상 난형이며 끝이 점차 뾰족하고 원저이거나 심장저이며 길이 2-7cm, 폭 2-4cm로서 3-9맥이 있고
윗면은 깔깔하며 뒷면은 맥 위와 가장자리에 짧은 가시가 있고 엽병은 길이 1-10cm이다.
줄기는 네모지고 가지가 많이 갈라지며 능선에 밑을 향한 가시가 있다
