개갈퀴(꼭두서니과 선갈퀴속)

잎피 4~6장이 돌려나기이고 잎 끝이 둔하고 잎맥이 3개, 아주 짧은 잎자루가 있다.

중심 줄기에는 6장의 잎이 돌려나기인데 가지의 잎에는 4~5개의 잎이 보인다.

아래 쪽에 가지가 많이 갈라지는 점 등으로 확인하니 갈퀴덩굴속 큰잎갈퀴가 가장 유력한데.......

<큰잎갈퀴>

잎은 4~6장씩 윤생하고 긴 타원형 또는 도란상 타원형이며 길이 1.5~3.5cm, 나비 5-8mm로서 끝은 둥글다가 아주 뾰족해지고 밑은 좁아지져서 극히 짧은 대로 되며 양면에 털이 약간 있고 가장자리는 다소 뒤로 말린다. 잎가장자리에 밑을 향한 가시가 있다(잎맥이 1개) 꽃은 5-6월에 피며 연한 녹색이고 가지 끝에 취산화서로 달리며 소화경에 털이 다소 있고 화관은 4갈래이며 수술은 4개이다. 열매는 분과로 2개씩 붙어 있고 분과에 소돌기 또는 자모(刺毛)가 밀생한다. 높이 30-60cm이며 줄기는 네모지고 밑을 향한 가시와 능선이 있으며 밑에서부터 가지가 많이 갈라진다

 

 

이 녀석이 큰잎갈퀴가 아니라 갈퀴아재비가 아닐까 하는 의견이 있어서 다시 살펴보니

큰잎갈퀴는 줄기에 밑을 향한 가시가 있다는데 이 녀석은 줄기에 가시가 없다는 점에서 일단 큰잎갈퀴를 배제 한다.

갈퀴아재비를 살펴보는데 개갈퀴란 녀석이 또 비슷하다.

 

<갈퀴아재비> 

잎은 4-5씩 윤생하고 긴 타원형이며 끝이 뾰족하고 밑부분이 좁아지면서 길이 3mm정도의 짧은 엽병으로 그치며 가장자리 근처에 짧은 털이 있고 중앙부의 잎은 길이 6cm, 폭 2cm로서 2-5맥이 있다. 주맥 위에 짧은 복자모가 드문드문 있다. (잎맥 3~5개) 꽃은 8월에 피며 백색이고 화서는 가지 끝과 원줄기 끝에서 발달하며 취산화서가 모여서 전체가 원추형으로 되고 비교적 많은 꽃이 달린다. 꽃받침은 자방과 완전히 붙어 있으며 끝이 거의 수평하고 열편이 보이지 않으며 화관은 깔때기 모양이고 길이 2mm정도로서 겉에 털이 있으며 안쪽에 돌기가 밀생하고 두껍다. 자방 하위이며 길이 1mm 정도로서 털이 다소 있다. 높이가 70cm에 달하며 능선이 있다. 개갈퀴에 비해 잎이 넓은 피침형 또는 장타원상 피침형으로 잎 뒤 주맥 위에 털이 적으며 화관열편 중륵 등쪽에 자모가 있다

 

 

<개갈퀴> 

잎은 4~5개가 윤생하지만 2개는 탁엽이며 타원형이고 3맥이 뚜렷하며 끝이 둔하고 밑부분이 좁아져서 짧은 엽병의 날개로 되며 길이 4-6cm, 나비1-2cm로서 가장자리와 엽맥 위에 털이 있고 가지의 잎은 훨씬 작으며 대개 4개씩 윤생하고 가장자리는 밋밋하다.(잎맥 3(5개) 꽃은 8~9월에 피고 백색으로서 가지 끝과 원줄기 끝이나 엽액에 산방화서로 달린다. 포는 선형이고 길이 6-7mm, 나비 1mm정도이다. 화관은 깔대기 모양이며 끝이 4개로 갈라지고 털이 없으며 수술은 4개가 후부(喉部)에 달리고 수술대가 가늘다. 열매는 2개씩 달리며 분과는 둥글고 털이 없다. 높이가 70cm에 달하고 네모지고 능선이 있으며 곧게 선다 갈퀴아재비에 비해 잎가장자리와 잎 뒤 주맥에 털이 많고 화관 열편 등쪽에 털이 없다

 

 

 

갈퀴아재비의 잎과 줄기에 대한 기재문으로 보면 아래의 녀석과 일치한다.

3mm 정도의 아주 짧은 잎자루가 있고, 잎맥이 2~5개로 잎맥과 잎 가장자리 잎자루에 털이 보인다(큰잎갈퀴는 잎맥이 1개이다)

줄기는 능선이 보이고 둥글어 보인다(큰잎갈퀴는 4각이고 줄기에 아래로 햔한 가시가 있다고 한다)

일단 꽃동무의 지적대로 갈퀴아재비로 접근이 되는데......개갈퀴가 문제다.

 

 

갈퀴아재비는 개갈퀴에 비해 잎이 넓은 피침형 또는 장타원상 피침형으로 잎 뒤 주맥 위에 털이 적다고 하며

개갈퀴는 갈퀴아재비에 비해 잎가장자리와 잎 뒤 주맥에 털이 많다고 하니

이 녀석의 잎 뒷면 맥 위의 듬성한 털을 봐서는 개갈퀴쪽 보다는 갈퀴아재비로 봐야겠다.

 

 

이 녀석은 줄기에 능선이 있다고는 되어 있고 둥근지 4각인지는 확실하게 잡히지 않아서 좀 애매하긴 하지만 이어지는 느낌은 4각인 것 같다
