섬양지꽃(장미과)

울릉도 특산식물은 <섬>이란 접두어를 달거나, <우산> <울릉> 이란 접두어도 달고 잇다

동행하여 안내를 해 주던 꽃동무는 울릉도의 식물은 육지의 것보다 크기가 많이 크다는 특징이 있단다.

 

이 섬양지꽃은 주로 성인봉 가파른 절벽 바위벽에 붙어서 사는 녀석이라 웬만해서는 만나기 쉬운 녀석이 아닌데

이렇게 접근이 쉬운 곳에서는 처음 본다면서 육지 손님 온다고 서비스하는가 보다라면서 우스갯말을 하신다.

 

돌양지나 참양지꽃 비슷하여서 특별하게 달라보이는 점이 없다는 느낌이었는데

이 녀석은 돌양지에 비하여 전체에 털이 적고 잎 뒷면이 분백색이 아니고 약한 백색 기운이 있다고 한다.

헌데 이 녀석을 처음 만나서 그 구분점을 알리가 없던 나는 잎 뒷면을 관찰하지 못하였다.

 

 

꽃은 6-7월에 피고 지름 10㎜로서 황색이며 화탁에 길이 2㎜의 백색털이 밀생하고 취산화서에 10개 내외의 꽃이 달린다.

꽃받침잎은 끝이 뾰족하며 좁은 난형이고 부악편은 피침형이며 꽃밥은 넓은 난형이고 암술대는 길이 1.5㎜이다.

 

 

 

 

근생엽은 엽병이 길며 소엽은 3개(간혹 5개)이고 사각상 난형 또는 타원형이며 길이 2.5-5㎝, 폭 1.5-3㎝이다.

잎의 뒷면 맥 위에만 털이 있다. 끝이 뾰족하거나 둔하며 가장자리에 뾰족한 톱니가 있고 탁엽은 피침형이며 끝이 뾰족하다.

 

돌양지꽃과 달리 전체에 털이 적고 잎이 크며 잎 뒷면이 회청색(분백색)이 아니고 다소 백색을 띠긴한다,

전체에 복모가 있고 잎 가장자리에 예리한 톱니가 있다.
