양지꽃 류는 꽃이 거의 같아서 잎을 보아야 쉽게 동정이 된다
딱지꽃은 깃꼴겹잎으로 전초에 털이 많은 것이 특징이다.
시골 길가에 밟히는 것이 딱지꽃인데 하도 제초제를 뿌려대니
생명 질긴 딱지꽃조차 쉬이 눈에 띄질 않는다.

꽃은 황색으로 6~7월에 피고 지름 1-2cm로서 산방상 취산화서로서 정생한다.
화경은 가늘며, 포는 손바닥모양으로 갈라진다.
꽃받침잎은 좁은 난형이고 예두이며 부악편은 피침형이고 뒷면에 흰 솜털이 있다.
꽃잎은 도란상 요두로서 각각 5개이며 턱엽에 털이 있다.
잎은 우상복엽이며 근생엽이 옆으로 퍼지고 경생엽은 호생하며 소엽은 15-29개로서
밑부분의 것은 점차 작아지고 윗부분의 것은 도피침형 또는 긴 타원형이며 길이 2-5cm, 폭 8-15mm로서
표면은 털이 거의 없으나 뒷면은 백색 면모(綿毛)가 밀생하고 특히 맥위에 긴 견모가 있으며 거의 중륵까지 갈라진다.
탁엽은 넓은 타원형이며 우상으로 갈라진다.
