큰쐐기풀(쐐기풀과 혹쐐기풀속) Laportea cuspidata (Wedd.) Friis

큰쐐기풀 꽃 필 때가 되었을텐데....늦은 오후라서 산성으로 오를 수는 없고...

아쉽게 돌아 오던 중에 딱 한포기 그리 크지 않는 녀석이 레이더에 걸려든다. ㅎㅎㅎ...간절하면 볼 수 있다니까.

 

잎겨드랑이에 암꽃화서와 수꽃화서가 따로 달리는 일가화이다. 한국특산식물이다

마악 수꽃이 뽀얗게 수술 꽃밥을 터뜨리고 있고 암꽃 화서도 꽃을 피우는 듯 아직 열매가 잘 보이지 않는다.

 

 

 

꽃은 일가화로서 4수이며 8-9월에 피고 연한 녹색이며 수상화서는 엽액에서 2개씩 돋고

그 중 1개는 짧으며 1개는 길지만 잎보다는 짧다.

 

도감에는 암화서, 수화서로 칭하지 않고 긴 것, 짧은 것으로 설명하고 있지만

화경이 길고 녹색의 길다란 화서가 암화서, 흰색 화서가 수화서로 이해하고 있다

 

 

 

암화서이다. 암화서는 가지를 분지하는 경우도 있다.

꽃이 진 다음 안쪽 2개의 화피 열편이 열매를 둘러싸고 겉에 자모가 있다.

 

 

원줄기 끝은 전체가 화서로 되고 갈라지며

 

 

 이 녀석은 수꽃화서이다. 꽃밥이 4개이다

 

 

 

줄기와 잎자루 잎 맥 위에는 긴 자모가 나 있는데 크고 날카로운 자모에 쏘이면 통증이 엄청나서 조심해야 한다.

쐐기풀은 큰쐐기풀과 무척 비슷하지만 개체가 작다는데 아직 만나 본 적이 없다.

쐐기풀은 잎이 마주나기이고 큰쐐기풀은 어긋나기이다.

 

 

 

 

 잎은 호생하며 난형 또는 원형에 가깝고  원저(圓底) 또는 평저(平底)이며 가장자리에 결각상 톱니가 있고 톱니 끝이 뾰족하며

중앙부에 달린 잎의 엽병은 길이 7cm정도이다. 탁엽은 3각상 송곳형이다.

 

 

 

중앙부의 잎은 길이와 폭이 각각 15cm정도이고 표면은 짙은 녹색으로서 잔털이 있으며

 

 

 

 

잎 뒷면은 회록색이고 맥 위에 엽병과 더불어 큰 자모가 있어 찌르며 알갱이 모양의 종유체(鐘乳體)가 있어 희끄므레하다.
