천문동(백합과) 수꽃 Asparagus cochinchinensis (Lour.) Merr.

대박이다~!

마삭줄 꽃을 담으려고 발을 옮기던 꽃동무가 발 아래 천문동을 발견하였다.

모두 위나 옆쪽만 살피다가 보니 바닥에 꽃을 피우고 있던 이 귀한 천문동을 보지 못했던 것이다.

 

비짜루속인 이 녀석은 흔하게 만나지 못할 뿐더러 개화시기에 만나는 것고 참으로 요행스러운 일이라

다들 반색을 하고 이마를 맞댄다. 이 녀석은 수꽃이었다.

 

이 먼 곳 목포까지 와서 천문동을 만나는 행운도 얻다니 기름값이 아깝지 않겠다고 꽃동무가 한마디 한다.

천문동은 처음 만나는데 꽃동무가 대박이라고 흥분한 것처럼 귀한 녀석을 만나서 기분 짱이다.

 

 

 

꽃은 5-6월에 피고 담황색으로 1-3개씩 모여 액생하며 길이 3mm정도이고

소화경은 길이 2-5mm로서 중앙부에 관절이 있으며 꽃잎과 길이가 거의 같다.

꽃잎은 6개이고 옆으로 퍼지며 좁은 선상 타원형이고 6개의 수술은 꽃잎보다 짧다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

굵은 줄기에는 4~5mm의 가시가 있었는데 도감의 설명에 의하면 이 가시를 잎이라 말하고 있다.

 

 

 

잎 처럼 보이는 것은 잎이 아니라 잔가지 즉 엽상지인데 잔가지(엽상지)는 가는 잎모양으로

잎짬에 1-3개씩 총생하고 선형이며 세모지고 끝이 뾰족하여 가시같고 길이 1-2cm, 폭 1-1.2mm로서

활처럼 굽으며 윤채가 있고 줄기에 호생한다.
