천문동(백합과) 뿌리 Asparagus cochinchinensis (Lour.) Merr.

어느 어르신이 캐 가지고 있던 천문동을 잠시 촬영하였다.

꽃이 없어서 아쉬웠지만 방추형 뿌리를 확인할 수 있어 다행이었다

 

천문동은 열매가 흰색으로 익어서 열매를 봐도 천문동을 구분할 수 있지만

열매가 익지 않았을 때는 줄기를 보면 가능하다.

줄기는 덩굴성으로 길이 1~2m 정도인데 위쪽은 다른 물체를 감고 오르며 가지가 갈라진 부분에 가시 모양의 잎이 있다

 

 

 

 

잎 모양의 엽상지는 3개씩 모여나는데 삼각상을 이루고 위로 휘어져 있다.

 

 

 

굵은 가지의 기부에는 가시 모양의 잎이 있다.

줄기에 나 있는 가시는 잎인 것이다

 

 

 

 

 

방추형의 뿌리가 사방으로 펴져 있다
