노린재나무(노린재나무과)

단풍이 든 이 녀석 잎을 태우면 노란 재가 남는다고 노린재나무라 했던가?

잎을 태워보지 않아서 그 말이 사실인지는 모르겠다.

나무 전체가 하얗게 폭죽처럼 꽃술이 터지는 모습도 일품이지만 가을에 파랗게 익는 열매도 꽃 못지 않게 보기 좋다.

열매가 검게 익는 검노린재나무, 제주에 자생하는 섬노린재나무도 있다.
