사철검은재나무(노린재나무과 노린재나무속) Symplocos nakaharae (Hayata) Masam

문헌 상으로만 존재하던 녀석이

지난 2월 제 54회 식물분류학괴 학술대회에서 그 존재가 발견이되었다는 발표가 있었다.

 

그 녀석의 실체를 보고자 내려간 해안의 숲에는

유목에서부터 장령목에 이르기까지 많은 개체가 무리지어 자생하고 있었다.

꽃은 3∼4월에 흰색으로 피고 묵은 가지의 잎겨드랑이에 2∼3개씩 모여 달리며 꽃대가 없다. 씨방은 3실이다. 잎은 어긋나고 장 타원형으로서 딱딱하며 윤이 나고 엽병이 있다. 가장자리는 밋밋하지만 때로 물결 모양의 톱니가 있다. 열매는 긴 타원형이며 10∼11월에 검게 익는다. 수피는 잿빛을 띤 검은색으로 평평하다.
