긴잎모시풀(쐐기풀과 모시풀속)Boehmeria sieboldiana Blume

전남지방에 는 모시잎을 갈아서 만든 모시떡이 유명하다.

마치 쑥떡처럼 콩고물을 소로 넣은 녹색 송편으로 언젠가 먹어 본 적이 있는데 맛이 그만이었다.

지난 8월 불갑사에 갔다가 모시풀을 제대로 본 적이 있는데 줄기에 긴털이 수평으로 나 있고

어긋나는 잎의 잎겨드랑이에 피침형의 탁엽이 1쌍이고 잎자루고 길어서 섬모시풀과 확실히 구분이 되었다.

 

제주도에서 모시풀 몇종을 담아 온 게 있는데 그 이름을 확실하게 찾아 주지 못하여 창고에 박아 두었더니

꽃동무가 긴잎모시풀과 제주긴잎모시풀에 대하여 공부를 한 모양이다.

 

모 박사님의 견해라 하니 그 견해에 따라서

쳐박아 두었던 녀석이 제주긴잎모시풀인 듯 하여 있어서 일단 정리해 올린다.

 

제주긴잎모시풀 : 잎은 마주나고 엽저기 대칭, 잎 앞면에 털이 있고, 잎자루가 긴잎모시풀보다 짧고(3~5cm), 줄기에 홈이 없이 밋밋하다

긴잎모시풀 : 잎은 마주나고 엽저가 이저, 잎 앞면에 털이 거의 없고, 잎자루가 길고(10cm정도), 줄기에 홈이 깊다.
