바늘엉겅퀴(국화과)

제주 산록에서 꽃을 담다가 보면 엉겅퀴 가시에 수없이 공격을 당한다.

오름이나 볕이 잘 드는 초지는 가시엉겅퀴가 지고 난 후 바늘엉겅퀴 세상이다.

 이 곳의 가시엉겅퀴와 바늘엉겅퀴의 위세는 대단하다. 세력이 너무 강하여서 다른 풀들이 발을 못 붙이게 하는 모양이다.

 

습지 주변 도로에도 바늘엉겅퀴가 한창 꽃을 피우고 있다.

윗세오름 병풍바위 근처에도 이 녀석이 점령을 하고 있던데 붉게 꽃이 핀 모습을 보지 못하여 아쉽다.

 

바늘엉겅퀴는 목도리도마뱀처럼 피침형의 총포가 꽃을 받치고 있어서  금방 눈에 들어 온다.
