이 곳의 꼬리풀은 잎이 무지 가늘고 짧다.

그래서 이명으로 가는잎꼬리풀이라고 하는데 정명이 기냥 꼬리풀이다.

걱정스러운 시선으로 산 아래를 내려다 보니 태풍을 몰고 오는 낮은 구름이 원망스럽다.

그래도 비가 올듯 올듯 하면서 참아주는 덕분에 몇 가지 아그들 담아 올 수 있었다.

현삼과 다년초로 높이 40-70cm이고 흔히 가지가 다소 갈라지며 위를 향한 굽은 털이 있고 곧게 선다.

잎은 대생하고 길이 4~8cm, 폭 5~8mm로서 도피침형 또는 피침상 선형으로 끝이 뾰족하고 기부가 좁아지면서 엽병같이 되며 상반부에 몇 개의 톱니가 있고 뒷면 맥 위에 굽은 털이 있다.

 

7~8월에 개화하며, 줄기 끝에 길이 10~30cm의 총상화서를 이루며 화서에 짧고 굽은 털이 있다. 꽃받침은 길이 2mm로서 4개로 깊게 갈라지고 열편은 끝이 둔하며 가장자리에 털이 있고 화관은 청자색이고 지름 6mm 정도이며 4개로 갈라지며 수평으로 퍼지고 털이 있다. 수술 2개, 암술 1개이며, 화관 밖으로 길게 뻗어 난다.
