꼬리풀(현삼과 꼬리풀속) Pseudolysimachion linariifolium (Pall. ex Link) Holub

수박풀이 가득하게 피는 이 야산은 참 기분 좋은 곳이다.

그렇게 보고싶어 하던 수박풀을 실컷 담고 내려오는데 꼬리풀이 가느다랗게 피어 있다.

 

작년에 다른 곳에서 이 녀석을 만나서 도대체 무슨 꼬리풀인가 하고 이름을 찾았던 적이 있다.

무슨 꼬리풀이 아니고 이 녀석이 꼬리풀이었는데...

 

잎이 선형으로 가늘고 다른 꼬리풀에 비하여 화서도 풍성하지 않고 왜소한 녀석이다.

 7~8월에 개화하며, 줄기 끝에 길이 10~30cm의 총상화서를 이루며 화서에 짧고 굽은 털이 있다.

 

 

잎은 대생하고 길이 4~8cm, 폭 5~8mm로서 도피침형 또는 피침상 선형으로 끝이 뾰족하고 기부가 좁아지면서 엽병같이 되며 상반부에 몇 개의 톱니가 있고 뒷면 맥 위에 굽은 털이 있다

 

높이 40-70cm이고 흔히 가지가 다소 갈라지며 위를 향한 굽은 털이 있고 곧게 선다.
