가시꽈리(가지과 가시꽈리속) Physaliastrum echinatum (Yatabe) Makino

병아리 초짜 시절, 이 녀석을 도깨비가지 정도의 외래종으로 오해하고

보이는 대로 뽑아 버려서 절멸을 시킬 뻔 했던 아그다. 

그래서 이 녀석들 볼 때마다 미안하다고 사과를 한다.

 

풀숲에 숨어 있다가 살아남은 몇 녀석 덕분에
이 산책길을 걸을 때면 그래도 반갑게 안부를 전해 준다.

문제는 산책로를 관리한다고 도립공원 측에서 풀베기를 해 버려서
온전하게 꽃 피우기 쉽지가 않다는 것이다. 풀베기 작업은 우리 꽃쟁이들에게는 쥐약이다.

다행하게도 예취기 칼날에 살아 남은 몇 포기가 꽃을 피우고 열매를 달고 있어 어찌나 반갑던지.
