치자풀(현삼과 치자풀속) Monochasma sheareri (S. Moore) Maxim. ex Franch. & Sav.

섬으로 가는 길에 남도의 몇 곳을 들렀다.

치자풀은 이미 잔치를 끝내고 결실을 준비하고 있었다.

 

이 녀석은 한해살이풀로 기재되어 있지만 여러해살이풀이다.

 

꽃받침은 원통형, 화통은 길이 4~5mm, 열편은 4개이며 개화 후에 6~10mm로 길어지고 날개가 4개 있다. , 

화관은 자줏빛을 띤다. 수술은 꽃부리 밖으로 돌출하지 않지만 드물게 돌출한다. 열매는 삭과로 길이 6~8mm, 너비 3~5mm이다. 우리나라 전북 부안 변산반도국립공원, 전남 진도, 충남 태안 안면도, 제주도 등에 자생한다. 세계적으로는 중국, 일본에 분포한다.
