백두산식물 -진펄현호색(양귀비과 현호색속) Corydalis buschii Nakai

조름나물 군락을 뒤로하고 숲을 뒤지는데 대장의 고함소리가 계속 이어진다.
다른 녀석을 살필 겨를도 없이 고함 소리를 따라 숲을 헤쳐가니 물골 습지에서 붉은색 꽃을 피우고 있는 현호색속을 가리키면서 흥분 하고 있었다. 처음 보는 녀석이다! 하면서 신종 발견이라고,
 
국내에서는 보지 못한 녀석이 맞긴 맞다.
꽃은 화색과 형태가 들현호색을 많이 닮았고 잎은 잘게 가늘게 갈라진 일정한 모습이었다. 열심히 셔터를 누르고 나서 뿌리는 봐야겠기에 몇 포기 살피자고 했다.
현호색속 중에서 괴경을 달고 있는 현호색 계열인지 수염뿌리인 괴불주머니 계열인지는 확인해 볼 필요가 있으니까.
 
진창에 박힌 녀석의 뿌리가 제대로 뽑아지지 않아서  실패를 하다가 제대로 표본을 채집하였다.

괴경이 없는 수염뿌리로 보였는데 다른 풀뿌리가 엉겨 있어서 잘못 본 것이었다. 다른 뿌리를 헤집으니 희끗한 것들이 보이길래 인엽을 많이 달고 있다고 생각하고 그게 괴경인지 제대로 확인을 하지 않았었다

인터넷 검색이 여의치  않아서 급하게 국내 박사한테로 보낸 사진의 동정 결과 거의 발견이 되지 않던 진펄현호색이란 답이 날아왔단다.

고원의 습한 곳에서 자라는 여러해살이풀이다. 땅속 덩이줄기는 기둥 모양, 작은 돌기가 있다. 줄기는 곧추서며, 높이 10~15cm, 밑에 1~3개의 비늘조각이 있다. 잎은 3개의 작은잎으로 된 겹잎이다. 작은잎은 넓은 피침형으로 길이 3~4cm, 밑부분은 좁고, 끝은 둔하며, 가장자리는 밋밋하다. 꽃은 4~5월에 분홍색으로 피며, 줄기 끝에 6~12개가 총상꽃차례로 달린다. 꽃싸개잎은 타원형 또는 도란형으로 길이 5~7mm, 끝은 이빨 모양으로 갈라진다. 꽃뿔은 긴 원통형으로 끝은 둔하고, 곧추서며, 꽃잎보다 짧다. 수술은 6개이며, 3개씩 합쳐진다. 열매는 삭과, 선형으로 길이 2.0~2.5cm, 5~6월에 익으면 곧추서거나 비스듬히 선다. 한반도 북부지방에 자생하며, 러시아 동부, 중국 동북부 등에 분포한다. 국내의 다른 현호색속 식물들에 비해 높이 10~15cm로 소형이며, 북부지방의 습한 고원에 자란다. 덩이줄기를 약용한다. - 출처 : 한반도생물다양성포털-

 진창같은 곳에서 자라는 이녀석은 나카이 발견 이래 그 실체가 제대로 발견되지 않고 있던 것이 2011년  부터 3년간 우리나라 연구팀과 러시아 연구팀이  러시아 연해주 남서지역을 조사하던 중 그 실체를 처음 확인하였다고한다

그런데 지금까지 진펄현호색에 대한 사진 기록을 찾아볼 수 조차 없던 차에 이번 5월 백두탐사대의 이도근 대장에 의하여 발견되어 모두 그 귀한 실물을 영접하게 된 것은 큰 소득이라 할 수 있었다.

자료를 정리하는데 불규칙한 형태의 괴경이 있다는 기재문과 선화를 확인하고 좀 갸웃거렸다. 
사진을 올리면서 뿌리 사진을 확대해 보다가 아이쿠야!! 했다. 인엽인가 보다 생각했던 희끗한 부분이 바로 괴경이었던 것이다 .다른 풀뿌리가 덮고 있던 속에 울퉁불퉁한 작은 괴경이 있었던 것이다. 
 
중국의 길림(린장)의 남동쪽에 분포하며 해발 약 460-1120m의 울창한 숲과 그늘진 습지에서 자란다. 북한 북쪽 러시아 극동 블라디보스토크(블라디보스토크)에서 발견된다. 삭과 열매는 선형, 길이 1.4-1.8cm, 너비 약 2mm, 약간 구부러지거나 약간 구슬 모양이며 5-12 개의 씨앗이 있다.

외화판과 내화판이 작고 동글동글 귀엽다

잎은 거의 변화가 없었다.

 
일반적으로 보던 현호색들의 둥근 괴경이 아니라 울퉁불퉁 불규칙한 모양에 작은 돌기가 있는 덩이뿌리를 가지고 있었다.
