백두산식물 - 삼쥐손이(쥐손이풀과 쥐손이풀속) Geranium soboliferum Kom.

백두산 언저리 산지 습원을 탐사하다 보면 만나는 쥐속이풀속 녀석이다.

산지의 습한 풀밭에서 자라는 여러해살이풀이다. 뿌리줄기는 짧고, 옆으로 기는줄기가 있다. 줄기는 곧추서거나 비스듬히 위로 자라며, 높이 60~80cm, 가지를 치고 아래로 향하는 털이 듬성하게 있다. 뿌리잎은 둥글며, 지름 7~10cm, 7갈래로 갈라지며, 잎자루는 길이 20~30cm다. 줄기잎은 마주나며, 5~7개로 깊게 갈라지고 잎자루는 위로 갈수록 짧아진다. 갈래조각은 다시 2~3개로 갈라지고 선형, 끝은 뾰족하며, 가장자리에 톱니가 있다. 턱잎은 2개, 삼각상 난형, 서로 붙어 있다. 꽃은 8~9월에 분홍색으로 핀다. 꽃받침잎은 5개, 난형, 끝에 돌기가 있다. 꽃잎은 5개, 도란형, 밑부분과 가장자리에 흰색 털이 있다. 열매는 삭과, 길이 2.5~3.0cm, 5갈래로 갈라진다. 우리나라 강원도 이북에 나며, 러시아 우수리, 일본 남부, 중국 동북부 등에 분포한다. 세잎쥐손이에 비해 열매 자루가 곧추서고, 산쥐손이와 비교하여 턱잎의 길이가 길므로 구분된다.
